8 what’s-the-different-between-all-kind-of-color-PAC

Polyaluminum Chloride (PAC) is an effective flocculant widely used in water treatment. PAC can be categorized by color, production process, concentration, and application fields based on its characteristics.

1. Color Differentiation

-Yellow PAC: Suitable for general water treatment, commonly used in municipal wastewater and industrial wastewater purification.

-White PAC: Higher purity, ideal for applications that require high water quality, such as drinking water treatment and food industry.

-Brown PAC: Often used for treating high turbidity water, commonly applied in mining, paper-making, and other industries.

2. Process Differentiation

-Spray-dried PAC: Produced using spray-drying technology, with uniform particles and good solubility, suitable for large-scale water treatment.

-Room-temperature dried PAC: Produced by room-temperature drying, with lower cost but relatively poorer solubility, suitable for low-cost projects.

3. Concentration Differentiation

-18-26% PAC: Suitable for general industrial wastewater treatment.

-26-30% PAC: Ideal for high-efficiency water treatment scenarios, such as drinking water purification and high-pollution wastewater treatment.

-31%: Used in specialized water treatment fields, such as mining and paper-making, for higher treatment efficiency.

4. Application Field Differentiation

-Drinking Water Treatment: White PAC or high-concentration PAC is recommended to ensure water purity.

-Industrial Wastewater Treatment: Yellow or brown PAC is suitable for high-turbidity water, showing good treatment performance.

-Paper Industry: Brown PAC is commonly used to improve paper pulp quality by helping impurities settle.

-Mining and Coal Industries: High-performance PAC is effective in treating large volumes of mine sludge and coal mine wastewater, quickly removing suspended solids.

Recommendations

Selecting the appropriate type of PAC is crucial for optimal water treatment results. For drinking water purification, white, high-concentration PAC is recommended; for industrial wastewater or high-turbidity water, yellow or brown PAC is more suitable.

Additionally, the production process impacts PAC solubility and performance, with spray-dried PAC being ideal for large-scale, quick-dissolving applications.
