The application of Polyacrylamide in steel mill wastewater is as follows

1. When polyacrylamide is used, 0.01% concentration of water solution should be prepared, and neutral water without salt impurities should be used.

2. When the polyacrylamide is dissolved, sprink the anionic polyacrylamide product into the stirred water evenly, and the stirring speed is controlled at 100 ~ 300 rpm. Appropriate heating (< 45 ℃) can accelerate the dissolution.

3. Adjust the pH value of the treated solution to make the anionic polyacrylamide product give full play to its function. )

4. When the product solution is added, the mixing with the treated solution should be accelerated. When the flocculate appears, the stirring speed should be slowed down to facilitate the growth of the flocculate and accelerate the settlement.

Polyacrylamide PAM is mainly used in two links in the process of wastewater treatment in iron and steel plants: 1. In the process of wastewater flocculation and sedimentation, anionic type is mostly used; 2. In the process of sludge dewatering, cationic type is mostly used. The selection and application of PAM for sludge dewatering in iron and steel plant need a certain technical basis, which can not be selected casually. There are many types of cationic polyacrylamide PAM, and different sludge treatment processes in iron and steel plants have a great influence on the selection of polyacrylamide type.
