After neutralization treatment of iron ore wastewater, the main components of wastewater sludge are iron hydroxide, Fe (OH) 3 and colloid, Ca (OH) 2, calcium hydroxide and colloid, Fe (OH) 2, ferrous hydroxide particles and other ions. Cationic polyacrylamide is used to treat iron ore sludge for dehydration, which can achieve good results.
In the field of mineral processing, on the one hand, polyacrylamide can be used for concentrate dewatering, accelerating the settling of frame mud, purifying backwater, and improving the working efficiency of the machine; on the other hand, selective flocculation is adopted for the slurry of fine-grained minerals to change the surface characteristics of the target mineral particles, appropriately increase the particle size for flocculation precipitation, which is conducive to separation from ore.
No matter in coal preparation or other metal ores, flocculant is a necessary and relatively economical reagent.
