What is the reason for the low water content of sludge after the treatment of polyferric sulfate?

TIME:2023-07-21 17:32:44SOURCE:admin

The water content of sludge after coagulation and sedimentation treatment determines the difficulty, transportation cost and recovery rate of sludge treatment. The sludge treated by coagulation and precipitation of polyferric sulfate has the advantages of fast settling speed, large mud ratio, dense mud, low water content and high utilization rate. Why can poly ferric sulfate reduce the water content of sludge?

1. Generally speaking, sludge formed by the precipitation with wastewater after chemical solidification treatment is degreased due to the accumulation of polyferric sulfate caused by gravity. The polynuclear colloid formed by dissolving iron sulfate as polymer in water can not only coagulate wastewater, but also make the sludge adsorbed, so that the sludge formed is more compact.

2. During the process of wastewater coagulation, pollutants and suspended substances and various heavy metal salts in the wastewater are adsorbed and networked, forming a network structure in the sludge layer for fine-grained sludge capture. In the process of silk flower particle collision, the sludge layer will extrude the water in the sludge, which makes the silk flower density larger and the water content is lower.

The amount of polyferric sulfate can change the way and structure of the water in the middle of sludge and capillary water. When used as sludge water remover, the amount of the water is usually 0.25-0.5% of the mass of the dry sludge.
